Update 13/7/21: To all the patients and families
We have worked tirelessly over the past 18 month to prevent transmission within the surgery both for patients and for our staff and their families. This has been to both to keep the service running and to prevent patient-to-patient transmission. We have considered carefully the implications of easing of the restrictions next week.
As society opens back up we can expect to see:
-numbers of Covid infection and transmission increasing locally
-increasing numbers of patients with viral symptoms being seen in surgery
-increasing numbers of asymptomatic patients
-increasing numbers of staff members having to self-isolate
We will therefore continue to work as we are with remote triage to protect our most vulnerable patients. If you require a face to face appointment your doctor or nurse will book this for you whilst on the telephone and you will be seen. We will review this decision in another 6 weeks’ time.
When you come into surgery:
-please continue to wear a mask
-please use the hand-gel on entry
-Our staff will continue to swab themselves, follow social distancing rules and wear PPE for consultations.
We thank you for helping us use these measures to protect each other and our most vulnerable patients.
PLEASE ONLY ATTEND THE SURGERY IF YOU HAVE A BOOKED APPOINTMENT OR HAVE BEEN ASKED TO COLLECT A SPECIFIC ITEM
