Repeat prescriptions

patient access login

If you are on regular medication you may be given a computer list of your treatment. Leave your list with the receptionist at least 72 hours (i.e. 3 working days) before you are due to run out of medication, and your prescription will be made ready for collection. It is most helpful, and makes mistakes less likely, if you can request your medication using your repeat computer list.

Repeat medication can be requested via:

  • Prescription line – 01946 518299 – answerphone 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. No need to wait in the telephone queue!
  • SMS text messaging – 0790 357 2883
  • Online – Via Patient Access
  • Paper request form – Post in letterbox on outside wall of building

Our reception staff are unable to complete repeat prescription forms as routine for patients, but if you do need assistance, please ask.

Remember to provide at least 3 working days’ notice for repeat prescription requests.

Some chemists provide a collection service enabling you to go directly to pick up your prescribed items without coming to the medical centre. Enquire at your chemist regarding this service.

Please note – for patients who live abroad for part of the year, the NHS accepts responsibility for supplying ongoing medication for temporary periods abroad of up to three months. If a person is going to be abroad for more than three months then all that the patient is entitled to at NHS expense is a sufficient supply of his/her medication to get to the destination and find an alternative supply of that medication.

Order prescriptions online

You can request repeat medication online.

To use the Patient Access service, you will need to register with the Online Patient Access service. Once your registration account is created you will need to come into the surgery with your passport or driving licence so that your account can be activated. Failure to do so will not give you access to these resources.

Please download and complete the Practice Access Activation form here and bring this, along with your ID to the reception desk.

The forms can also be found in the Reception Foyer near the Information board.
