Farewell – Message from Dr Fiona Ironside

FAREWELL

Message from Dr Fiona Ironside

I wanted to let you all know that I am leaving Lowther as a partner at the end of the month.

My decision is driven by family responsibilities.   Many of you will know I have a grandchild whose father has immunosuppression.  As a result of Covid, the only way I can see him is to self-isolate for 14 days before I visit.  This is not a fair request for the practice to support and as such I have asked that I do some locum sessions when needed but no regular work pattern. This means I will still be around but on an as needed basis.

The Practice leadership has passed to Dr Ami Hall. She is very capable, very talented and very enthusiastic.  I leave you in safe hands.

The last 8 years of my working life has been here at Lowther.  It has been a difficult period in NHS history and hard work. Despite that I have loved working here and will be very sad to leave both staff and patients.

I would like to wish you all the very best for the future.

Fiona Ironside
